Spirituality and Religion
Are you navigating faith-related questions? Maybe you feel alone in navigating these questions. Do you feel afraid of losing the support of your family, friends, and/or community by voicing your questions and doubts? Perhaps you’ve already bravely voiced them, and are feeling judged, isolated, and discouraged by their responses. Are you considering leaving your faith? Have you already left your faith? Or maybe the way you practice your faith looks different, leading you to feel alone in your particular beliefs. Maybe you’re exploring a new faith, or spirituality. For some people, a faith journey and transition can feel emotionally unstable. It can also feel incredibly lonely without a support system.
As you evolve and have certain life experiences, you may find yourself re-evaluating your beliefs. If you’re on a journey like this, I want you to know this is perfectly normal, and you are not alone. Unfortunately, many institutions and individuals alike can discourage this kind of evolving and questioning.
I’m not here to tell you what to believe. I’m here to create a safe space where you can explore your faith, questions, and doubts without judgment. You don’t have to go through this journey alone. Amidst the uncertainty of a faith journey, I want to help you feel a sense of certainty in your core needs and values as you navigate your faith.
Together, we will explore your questions and identify the way your faith journey impacts your relationships with yourself, family, friends, and community, and how to cope with this. We will also explore what it means to cultivate a community of individuals who accept you for your authentic self. This may look different from community in the traditional sense.
Opening a door to the unknown can be scary. Staying in a room where there’s no room to grow is also scary. I’m not sure where your faith journey may lead, but I’ll be here supporting you all the way.
